Afternoon Parade Washed Out

The Orlando Sentinel has an awesome account of a crazy freak Florida storm (better described as a category 5 deluge) hitting the Magic Kingdom right in the middle of the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade. According to the article, virtually all of the performers scurried away as the parade was abruptly ended except for the poor Fairy Godmother, who was stranded on the princess float along with the Beast as both were unable to escape through the emergency escape hatch. Awesomely, Belle stayed in character and remained with the Beast on the float. Even more awesomely, the parade floats have an emergency escape hatch.
