NBA Adds Disney Merchandise

The mutual NBA-Disney marketing machine is now at work for the 2009 NBA Finals. Of course, from the looks of things, the marketing machine isn't going to have too much time to operate.

John Frost at the Disney Blog is reporting that some specialized t-shirts are on sale for the finals, combining Mickey with his two hometown teams. I couldn't find them online at NBA.com but did track 3 down at the Magic and Lakers respective team store websites.

LakersStore.com has this shirt for sale, featuring Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto in Lakers' colors.


OrlandoMagicShop.com has two shirts for sale. This one with Mickey sporting a Magic jersey and big foam finger.


OrlandoMagicShop.com also has this one, my personal favorite, Mickey ears with a Magic basketball. I love this one because it doesn't scream "Disney" at you. It looks like a basketball shirt first and a Disney shirt second. Good work.
