News From Around The World

WDW Magic is reporting that a new show titled "A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas" will debut on the former "Stitch's Supersonic Celebration" stage for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Odds that this show lasts longer than the stage's former resident?

Tiana's Showboat Jubilee, the new Frontierland show that opened today, is operating with showtimes of 12:15pm, 2pm, and 3:45pm, according to multiple sources.

Mickey Extreme is reporting on a new discount available to Disney Visa card holders at select Walt Disney World merchandise locations. It's a 10% discount off a purchase of $50 or more and you MUST ask for it. There is a lot of fine print but it boils down to this: it's not available at any store operated by an outside vendor, nor is it good for any "designer" or specialty merchandise, or for expensive stuff like tickets or electronics. Basically it's good for your basic park souvenir stuff: t-shirts, stuffed animals, etc. Still, 10% is 10%.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the 2009 Christmas Day Parade will be taped December 3-5 at the Magic Kingdom.

The Disney Parks Blog has an article on the new pilot program to introduce $1 coins to Walt Disney World.
